Director of Quality Improvement

The Director of Quality Improvement is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and analysis of appropriate methods of quality assessment/assurance and quality improvement projects and activities as part of the Quality Improvement Program. This position manages the Quality Coordinator role, supports the Medical and Behavioral Health teams, directs the Quality Improvement Strategy and manages organizational NCQA compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and oversees NCQA accreditation as well as HEDIS and CAPHS.
  • Manages ongoing development of MHI quality program policies, procedures and quality management plans as directed by regulatory agencies, VP of Quality and Medical management and Chief Medical Officer.
  • Provides oversight to vendors who are delegated quality activities.
  • Supervises and participates in MHI quality assurance program.
  • Plans, promotes, and presents training activities related to quality and reliability of service delivery
  • Supervises quality management staff.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in health care or business-related field. Masters preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in health plan quality improvement and accreditation, data analysis, managed care and/or utilization tracking-HEDIS and improvement plan development.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Behavioral Health and Medical Quality Improvement expertise.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management of cross-functional projects.
  • Strong investigative, problem solving, and analytical skills.
