Quality Coordinator for Behavioral and Medical Health

The Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and analysis of appropriate methods of quality assessment/assurance and quality improvement projects and activities as part of the Quality Improvement Program. This position supports the Medical and Behavioral Health teams, contributes to quality improvement and clinical management projects, the Quality Improvement Strategy, as well as organizational NCQA compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as document control administrator for all quality documentation including Quality Improvement program descriptions, work plans and annual evaluations, Quality improvement activities and other state or federal reports. This includes working with the Clinical Project Manager on maintaining the document review schedule.
  • Manage, evaluate, and ensure accuracy of data on member reporting.
  • Identify trends in data and communicate findings.
  • Assemble and reviews graphs for reporting and review data for trends.
  • Document and communicate findings and associated corrective actions appropriately.
  • Supports review meetings through taking accurate meeting minutes and documenting any follow up activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in health care or business-related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in health plan quality improvement and accreditation, data analysis, managed care and/or utilization tracking-HEDIS and improvement plan development.
  • Behavioral Health and Medical Quality Improvement expertise.
  • Minimum of 1 year of project managing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong investigative, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
