Minuteman Health receives NCQA Accreditation

BOSTON (4/07/2014) – Minuteman Health announced today that it has received accreditation as an HMO and PPO from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations. It also recognizes clinicians and practices in key areas of performance. NCQA is committed to providing health care quality information for consumers, purchasers, health care providers and researchers. Minuteman General Counsel Susan Brown said the NCQA accreditation is a source of pride for the health plan as it builds its network and subscriber base in Massachusetts and, starting in 2015, in New Hampshire. “We’re very pleased to receive this accreditation after a thorough review process, and we look forward to sharing our products with the many individuals, families and businesses who are seeking high-quality, lower-priced health insurance,” she said.
