Minuteman network expands to more than 7,500 physicians

500 new providers added in last month BOSTON (February 4, 2014) – Minuteman Health, the first and only member-governed, non-profit health insurance plan in Massachusetts, has expanded its provider network to 7,540 contracted physicians, the insurer announced today. More than 500 new providers were added in January alone. “All brokers, employers, and individuals seeking affordable coverage are encouraged to check our website for the latest network information. We expect to add to our network continually in the coming weeks and months,” said Minuteman CEO Tom Policelli. “Physicians are positive about Minuteman’s mission to remove inefficiencies from today’s health insurance system in order to reduce administrative costs, provide better quality care, and lower health care premiums.”
