Frisbie Memorial Hospital Joins Minuteman Health's New Hampshire In-Plan provider network

BOSTON 6/3/2014 – Minuteman Health (http://www.minutemanhealth.org) today announced that Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester (http://www.frisbiehospital.com) has joined the company’s New Hampshire In-Plan provider network. “We are very pleased to have Frisbie join our In-Plan provider network, as it services a key grouping of New Hampshire residents and helps us move forward with our build-out goals,” said Glenn Klink, executive director of Minuteman Health New Hampshire. Frisbie Memorial Hospital is a general medical and surgical hospital with 82 beds. In 2012, 30,866 patients visited the hospital's emergency room. The hospital had a total of 3,586 admissions and its physicians performed 1,426 inpatient and 5,279 outpatient surgeries. “We’re excited to be part of the team and we look forward to working with Minuteman and helping them get started in New Hampshire,” said Alvin Felgar, President and CEO of Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Minuteman will continue to outreach to all New Hampshire providers and contract negotiations are ongoing. Earlier this month Minuteman announced that Cottage Hospital in Woodsville had joined Minuteman Health’s New Hampshire provider network. Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President Laura Ring said: “The Chamber is pleased to welcome Minuteman Health to New Hampshire as this development brings health care competition to the state for both businesses and residents. Frisbie Memorial Hospital being part of Minuteman’s provider network will offer patients another option when enrolling in the health insurance exchange and the ability to remain with their local health care providers.” (Pictured: Alvin Felgar, President and CEO of Frisbie.
