Scott Colby to join Minuteman Health as Vice President of Regional Operations and Executive Director

BOSTON 10/17/2014 – Minuteman Health (http://www.minutemanhealth.org) today announced the appointment of New Hampshire resident and medical industry veteran Scott G. Colby as Vice President of Regional Operations and Executive Director. "Having worked closely with physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers in New Hampshire for many years, I understand the frustration the provider community feels over the lack of a true partner within the health insurance industry,” Colby said. “I am deeply and personally committed to helping Minuteman deliver a true health insurance partner to the providers of New Hampshire; a partner which they deserve, a partner which they should expect." “Scott brings top-level industry experience and an unmatched knowledge of the New Hampshire healthcare marketplace to the position. He’ll provide great value to Minuteman as we build out our network and member base,” Minuteman CEO Tom Policelli said. Colby has served as executive vice president of the New Hampshire Medical Society since 2010, responsible for operations, membership growth, strategic planning, lobbying and support of the society’s mission. In addition, in June 2012, Colby was appointed by the New Hampshire Medical Society Council as the manager of New Hampshire Medical Society Insurance Services, L.L.C., His responsibilities include day-to-day operations of the insurance agency, including the implementation of the agency’s strategic partnership with Willis North America. Colby is a licensed property and casualty producer in the State of New Hampshire. Before joining the medical society, Colby served as director, government affairs and managed care for Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H. where he had been employed since 2000. Colby has more than 20 years of health care experience, including his current role at the medical society, his prior experience at Catholic Medical Center, his work in network development for Tufts Health Plan of Watertown, Mass. and his work with Northshore International Insurances Services of Danvers, Mass. Colby holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H., an M.S. in management from New England College in Henniker, N.H., and is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Manchester. He lives in Londonderry with his wife and three daughters.
