BOSTON 3/24/2015 – Minuteman Health (www.minutemanhealth.org) today announced the hiring of healthcare industry veteran Michael Sgambati as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Sgambati will lead Minuteman’s sales teams in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and will be responsible for growing membership.
Sgambati has extensive experience in healthcare start-up and life science companies. He has worked with providers, patients, and payers to help transform approaches to healthcare and to help improve outcomes. He has an extensive track record of success leading sales teams, executing marketing strategies, and building new markets. Working for life science companies, he launched 20 innovative products improving patient health and enhancing provider approaches to care.

Most recently, Sgambati built a national sales team and developed an entirely new line of business for Physicians Interactive, an innovative digital marketing start-up company. He developed a business model that allowed health care companies to engage providers and patients with information and resources through digital promotion via the web, mobile, and electronic health records. Sgambati also held senior positions at Sanofi, Hoechst Marion Roussel and Marion Merrell Dow.
Sgambati graduated Cum Laude from Siena College with a BS in Marketing & Management.

Minuteman Health is a new member-governed, non-profit health insurance option for Massachusetts’ residents. The company intends to offer individuals and small businesses lower-cost high-quality care with unprecedented transparency, increased efficiency and its unique member-governance structure. Plan members will directly participate by electing the board of directors, becoming board members and providing input for cost management and service delivery. Minuteman will be marketed through their website, brokers and the Massachusetts Health Connector.
