Minuteman Recieves High Evaluation Scores from National Committee for Quality Assurance

Boston 9/18/2015 - The nation’s top health insurance evaluation and accreditation firm has given Minuteman Health (www.minutemanhealth.org) high scores in its most recent health plan accreditation rating report.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2015-2016 gave Minuteman a score of 49.32 out of 50 across the company’s product lines, including commercial HMO/POS combined, commercial PPO, marketplace HMO and marketplace PPO. Minuteman CEO Tom Policelli credited the strong results to the company’s disciplined operating plan, its employees and its board of directors.

“There is nothing easy about being a startup in the health care insurance marketplace,” Policelli said. “I believe these strong scores reflect a practical, long-term vision set out by our board of directors that has been skillfully executed by our entire team. We pride ourselves on running a lean operation so needless to say, these folks have worked very, very hard. The NCQA scores reflect their expertise and commitment.”
